The 2009
Appledore Visual Arts Festival

The theme for the 2009 Appledore Visual Arts Festival
(Thursday May 28th – Sunday May 31st) is ‘Fire & Fury’.

The Festival will be a contemporary celebration of the inspiration and potential for artistic renewal and transformation that fire in its full fury can offer. For centuries fire has been an integral part of the creative process, from our earliest history it has been used to create and inspire many crafts, including; glass, ceramics and metalwork.

Events will include an extensive programme of workshops. Adults, children and families will be able to sign up to take part in a multitude of Advance-Booking workshops. During the Festival there will also be many free Drop-In workshops, where whole families can join in and create their own amazing art work !. There will be a series of Artists Talks as well as Residencies and Exhibitions from well established artists.
